Magnifico Virtual Art Museum #5 Pre-Raphaelites Ed.

Magnifico Art Heritage is an Association made of Artists that want to promote the role of the artist as a creator of beauty. That is the purpose that move every choice we make.

We are making a collection of different paintings/drawings/scultures, that you can admire and study from the confort of your screen, to enjoy as long as you want, every time you want, without going outside . We hope you may find some author that may inspire you or make you feel that "feeling of wonderful" that real art really brings within. This is our fifth chapter (#5), made of 50 different works of art of the marvelous artistic movement called the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.

The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (later known as the Pre-Raphaelites) was a group of English painters, poets, and art critics, founded in 1848 by William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Michael Rossetti, James Collinson, Frederic George Stephens and Thomas Woolner who formed a seven-member "Brotherhood" modelled in part on the Nazarene movement.

The Brotherhood was only ever a loose association and their principles were shared by other artists of the time, including Ford Madox Brown, Arthur Hughes and Marie Spartali Stillman. Later followers of the principles of the Brotherhood included Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris and John William Waterhouse.

We named each work of art with their proper name, author names and date of creation so that you can find yourself more info about their works.
